Improving Your Serve!

Thanks for being part of a great Sunday.

We had a great Sunday yesterday at CrossRoads. So many of you braved the rain to talk about prayer with us. I want to follow up the ideas we talked about by simply encouraging to make prayer part of every moment of your life. When you face a challenge this week, say a quick prayer asking God for his wisdom and power to excel. When you are frustrated, ask God to help you overcome. When you think of someone you love, ask God to work in a particular circumstance in their lives, or ask him for his direction and protection for them. And, as you pray, remember that God is our loving Father who wants to hear from his children and delights in working in our lives - always for our best and the best for his Kingdom. (The Bible tells us those are always the same thing by the way.) Don't miss next Sunday as we talk about Jesus' command to Love One Another.
Construction Update


Make sure to take a minute each week to peek in on our remodel. This past week they got the walls in place for our new children's classrooms. As you see progress, please remember we are working on raising an additional $10,000 to help offset the additional expenses required by the city.

Here are some pictures of the progress:





The first picture is the view from the future front door looking down the hall toward children's classrooms. The foyer into the worship center will be to the right (through our current wall). The next two pictures are of future children's classrooms. They are both easily twice the size of most of our children's rooms. The third picture is from the back looking toward the front door. When construction is complete, the current bathrooms will be just to the left (through our current wall).

Opportunities to Serve

4th of July Fireworks

We have some cool new opportunities we just found out about. The Chamber of Commerce is renting 9 inflatable games and asked if we could round up volunteers to help take care of them. (They will be right outside our front door.) This will give us a GREAT opportunity to talk with people about CrossRoads and listen for spiritual questions. Please take a minute to let us know how you can help using the form below.Please note that we have a minor time change. The Chamber of Commerce will open their inflatable games at 5pm, so we have to change our times to 5pm-9pm. (Fireworks will be at 9:30.)

Super Service Sunday THIS SUNDAY

This coming Sunday, June 29th, we will have a special Sunday to focus on improving all our areas of ministry. Right after church we will have lunch for your family. Then, we will take a few minutes to talk about where we are as a church and where we are going. Then, we will meet as ministry teams to work on serving better. We will wrap up no later than 2:30. I hope you can make it.
